As part of our weekly farm routine at Penah Mixed Farm, we helped spray the cows and calves to protect them from pests and parasites.
We learned that spraying cattle safely requires care and attention. We made sure not to spray directly into the animals’ eyes and paid close attention to the direction of the wind to avoid the spray blowing back toward us or the animals’ faces.
This hands-on experience taught us that good animal care is not just about completing a task. It is about doing it safely, carefully, and responsibly.
