Because much of the farm is protected by a natural fence, we replanted new sections using <em>lukoni<\/em> to help keep animals and intruders from entering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the banana plantation, we replanted banana suckers to improve spacing and create a more uniform plantation. We also learned about pests, bacteria, and diseases that can affect bananas, including the risks of using infected tools or planting diseased suckers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We also planted a variety of vegetables in the gardens we prepared two weeks ago, including cabbages, carrots, courgettes, spinach, lettuce, and green peppers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The week also included pasture management, giving us a broader understanding of how different parts of a farm work together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through these activities, we are learning that successful farming is not just about producing crops and animals.
